Network Schedule

The network schedule window represents one weeks worth of a NetworkShow schedule. This window can be accessed from the EZ-NET window.

• File
  • Save
    Commits any changes that have been made.
  • Close
    Closes the window.
• View
  • Spot Detail
    Launches a window that details the current status of each individual spot on this schedule.
• Tools
  • Stop
    Provides the ability to stop (cancel) the network schedule. Upon clicking this menu, you will be prompted with the following "Effective Date" window:
    
    
    
    The date that you enter in this window will be the date that the network schedule will no longer be running (stopped as of).

Main Body

Across the top portion of the window is the name of the NetworkShow. Below this, you will see the main body of the window that is organized into and "Item" and "Rotation" tab. By default, the "Item" tab is automatically selected.

Item (tab)

The "Item" tab contains the actual "configuration" portion of the weekly schedule. When importing from the network, you will see one or two entries depending on whether or not the schedule is a 30 and/or 60. This tab is nearly identical in look and behavior to the "Item" tab located on Contracts.

Rotation (tab)

The "Rotation" tab contains the "scheduling" portion of the weekly schedule.



There will be an entry for each day/length combination. Each entry contains the list of Copy as imported (in order) from the network. This tab is nearly identical to the look and behavior to the "Rotation" tab located on Contracts.

30s and 60s

If a schedule contains both 30s and 60s, it is currently necessary for the import to create two different schedule lines to create the spots (placeholders for scheduling). This means that when this schedule is processed on the Log, the 30s and 60s will be scheduled, potentially, "out of original sequence".

You can manually adjust these on the Log by moving the 30s and 60s into their proper (original) defined order; however, this may or may not be necessary depending on your contract with the network. Please note that this has nothing to do with the Copy. Once these spots are put into a sequence, the 30s and 60s (Copy) will rotate as defined on a 30s/60s basis according to what was originally called for. It's just that this had to be "split" into two different "schedules" due to current limitation within RT. Once done, the rotation (copy) will work as expected.

Without this extra step, the spots called for will still air; however, they may air "out of sequence"; again, may or may not be a problem and may only exist on a network by network show by show basis.

We are currently evaluating possible enhancements that will hopefully reduce/remove the need to do this extra step (assuming the need exists).
