RadioTraffic.com 101

Welcome to the RadioTraffic.com family. We're excited to have you on board! RadioTraffic 101 is our way to get you up and running with us as quickly and easily as possible.

Getting started

The first step is to gather some necessary information as we begin.

Two key people need to be involved while coming on board:

  • Traffic and billing Manager (mainly traffic).
  • The station engineer responsible for the automation system(s).

Key pieces of information include:

  • Your active customer list.
  • A list of agencies you use, if separate from your customer list.
  • Contact info for your automation system manufacturer.
  • Your active contracts.
  • Any back balances you want to move into RadioTraffic. In order to jump start your A/R history, we can enter in outstanding balances on each customer.
  • Seven distinct days of current automation log files exported from prior traffic system.
  • The automation export/import file locations/paths (from the traffic computer perspective - the actual files, not printed).

Before you download RadioTraffic,

EC Support will send the Primary Operator their User Name and Password. If you are not the Primary Operator, you will need to contact that person for your log-in info.

Upon successful authentication, you will be presented with the RT Dashboard.

Edit

Dashboard

The main dashboard provides an at a glance view of things that need to be done and serves as the nexus point for all activities that can be done providing currently defined roles/permissions.

Image

In the main body of the window will be zero or more "notices." These are tasks that should be completed and serve as a reminder (and jump point) to help you work more efficiently.

The system is divided into several task based areas called modules. Each module represents a different group of similar tasks that need to be performed throughout the traffic and billing process.

Creating a Contract

When you create a contract you have to go through a multi stage process to get it to completed/running status. For this process we have been given a real Order from a real Traffic Manager. We will be using this document to go through this process.

EC To protect secure information some things will be changed/altered.

With this order in hand you will have to add all of the information into the individual sections of Settings that pertain to the document.

We will start with Customer. We will have to come back to Customer in a few steps.
Image
See Customers for further info on this.

  • Under the Customer Icon you will add your customer.and you don't have it listed, Under the New button is another window with many tabs that need to be filled out. Fill these out.

  • If it has an agency, and you don't have it listed, you have to go to agency and add it.
